I just got an email today about a firmware upgrade for my WNR2000v3 router. I followed the instructions in the email, and also logged into my router to check the firmware version number. The router's firmware version is the same as the version mentioned online for the upgrade, so can I assume that I If you flash through TFTP while having a serial console attached the firmware spits out the reason, why the firmware cannot be flashed. In my case it was a mismatch between the product id “wnr2000v3” vs “WNR200V3”.
